Volunteering

There are many opportunities to become involved with Grow Cook Learn. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, get experience, and give back to the community. Grow Cook Learn is always looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking individuals to become a part of the organization. 

Volunteering Opportunities include:

  • Sprouts Children’s Garden Program 
  • Grow Cook Learn in a Box
  • Grow Cook Learn Workshops
  • Bingo Night

This is an 8 week program in July and August

This program is an opportunity for students to become involved with the development of Grow Cook Learn in a box

Help to develop content for various workshops and to help carry out different workshop events

Once a month Grow Cook Learn does a Bingo Night at the Forest City Bingo Country in order to help fund our various operations. 

The following outlines the number of volunteers we are looking for and some tasks they will be expected to complete:

3 volunteers needed to arrive at 5:00 pm
– Count paper to be sold
– Verify float is correct with manager
– Set up 3 floats
– Sell Bingo cards
2 Volunteers to arrive at 6:15 pm
– Shutter board volunteers
– Handle payout to participants
– 2 volunteers can leave at 8 pm
– 3 must be present until 10 pm
– Balance cash with paperwork and prepare deposit
