  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup butter at room temperature

  1. In a heavy saucepan, reduce the maple syrup to about ½ of its’ original volume.
  2. Allow to cool completely.
  3. Place butter and cooled maple syrup in a bowl and whip until well-combined.
  4. Make a roll with parchment or plastic wrap. Twist the ends and store in fridge or freezer.

Tip 1: You can reduce a larger amount of maple syrup and keep it on hand for lots of uses.

Tip 2: If you add some grainy mustard, you can use it in many savoury applications.
