Dawn Mackintosh, Past Chair
Currently the Executive Director at Windermere on the Mount by Revera. Prior to joining Revera in 2011, Dawn was the Manager of Community and Nursing Services for Oxford County with the Victorian Order of Nurses and has held senior management positions in the mental health and hospitality fields.
Dawn has an Undergraduate Degree from Huron University College, U.W.O. Active in the community; Dawn is Past Chair for the London Community Resource Center and is a committee member of the Geriatric Co-operative of London and Middlesex.
Erin O’Leary, Chair
Christine Leonard, Director
Christine is a Marketing Specialist at London Life. During her sales and marketing career, she’s held roles at CIBC, Western Union and Ontario Flower Growers and London Community Resource Centre. She holds an undergraduate degree from Brock University in Communication Studies and Business. Christine first got involved with LCRC as a volunteer. Their mission to improve the collective well-being of the community through food education resonated with her belief in the power of home cooking.
Greg Simpson, Director
Greg is a proponent of the reconnecting of neighbourhoods through shared spaces. Community gardens are a lovely example of this reconnection. He is father to a wonderful 5 year old gardener, as well as a practitioner of yoga, and a vintage motorcycle enthusiast. Greg is the Manager of one of London’s finest restaurants…Waldo’s on King.
Cathy Harrison, Director
Cathy is a retired teacher and administrator from the Thames Valley District School Board. Currently, she is Co-Chair of London Grands, Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, Stephen Lewis Foundation- a Grassroots organization supporting women and children with HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. She is Honorary Past President of London/Middlesex Retired Women Teachers of Ontario, a group also actively fundraising to support local Organizations serving and meeting the needs of women and children. Cathy is committed to building awareness of and support for LCRC as it continues to educate and provide “Grow, Cook, Learn” programs for the London Community. This will increase understanding of the importance of locally grown food.
Diane Armstrong, Director
Erica Graham, Director
Erica is an elementary school teacher for the Thames Valley District School Board. She currently teaches science to grades 7 and 8. She is passionate about education that focuses on healthy living and stewardship of the planet. She dreams of the day when every public school integrates school gardens into their curriculum. School gardens are a wonderful way to teach practical knowledge like where food comes from, how to take care of plants and how to cook using fresh ingredients. Erica firmly believes in the power of the forces of education and community, and can see both of these forces present in the London Community Resource Centre.
